French Wine for a Flat Belly Review

The portion size of your meals is a very important part of your food for the day. This was the start of weight loss for me, as after my husband died the size of my meals also reduced. This was one of the habits I noticed most affected my weight. Do this on consistent basis. You will notice the loss of weight in small consistent steps.

Eating fruits and vegetables are part of the key to successful weight loss as generally you can eat all of these that you want. The exceptions to this rule though are the potatoes, kumara and other root crops like taro. Make the portions of these very small if you must eat them, or eliminate them entirely from your menu.

Start avoiding fatty meals like deep fried chips, fried foods of any kind for at least most of the week. When you have children and a family to feed, it is not always possible to do this. Restricting yourself to how much you eat of these foods is the answer.

Encourage the family to change to whole grain or whole meal foods, not only are they better for them, but allow you to lose weight with out having to think about your diet. Again, it is also a portion size issue. Everyone in the family needs to be encouraged to eat a reasonable breakfast. The latest research shows that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Reasonable is always a point of view, but it at the very least means having cereals, toast and milk, all in wholegrain or high fiber forms to give that extra boost mid morning.

For me the additional benefit was that I started exercising, initially from interest but once you find how much easier it is to move and even breathe you become addicted to exercise. The hormones that are released because of the exercise leave you on a 'high' that promotes feelings of self worth and happiness. These things do not just happen they also need working for. Exercising is I believe the number one treatment for the low self-esteem and depressive illnesses that have crept into our society.
